Making arts accessible!
Art is meant to be enjoyed by everyone! It brings culture to a community! Access Virginia's mission is to make art accessible to all. Audio description is a narration of the visuals so a person who is blind or has low vision can still experience the joy of art by having the art described to them and allowing them to see with their touch.
Gallery 21 welcomes acclaimed botanical illustrator, Robby Schlesinger, for Meditations in Nature: Local Landscapes and Botanical Art, a solo exhibition.
Currently residing in Pennsylvania, this mother of three says she enjoys the challenges of botanical illustration, which requires high-level precision in size, shape, proportion, and the subtle nuances of color found in nature.
Schlesinger has won numerous awards for her artwork in Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, and throughout New England. When she's not creating art, Schlesinger is teaching it to students of all ages. She says, “Teaching is a passion. I love teaching as much as I love painting. It is an absolute joy, and it makes me a better artist and a better human.”
